Ensuite, il met en exergue différentes approches pour approfondir les systèmes financiers domestiques et l’utilisation optimale de l’épargne locale pour stimuler une croissance économique durable.
About the Author
Cédric MBENG MEZUI has a decade of experience in the financial sector, acquired at Citibank and the AfDB. He has been Coordinator of the African Financial Markets Initiative (AFMI, www.africanbondmarkets.org) since December 2013. He has led several structured finance transactions of which the designing and the structuring of the first Multinational Fixed Income ETF in Africa and the Bank’s first partial credit guarantee transaction to hedge a Eurobond. Prior to this, he worked for the Treasury and Regional Integration Departments on the financing of very large scale projects via Infrastructure requirements and Africa50’s design. He led the work on infrastructure bonds, diaspora bonds, and local currency bonds markets. He is the author of several articles in economics and finance journals, as well as books, including Structured Finance-conditions for infrastructure projects in African Markets (AfDB); La Finance Africaine en Mutation (A Compendium, Revue d’Economie Financière); and (an Essay) –Transformer le Gabon – Scénario de la Panthère ou de l’Ecureuil.

He regularly participates at International Conferences on African Economies Financing as a panelist and / or moderator, including Harvard Business School, London Business School, Ministry of Finance of France (Bercy), AGEFI and across the continent.

He holds a Master’s degree in Banking and Financial Engineering from Toulouse Business School (France) and Master’s Degree both in Mathematics and International Finance & currency from Claude Bernard University in Lyon (France).
